Work Inspiration is a national, employer-led campaign that aims to make work experience more meaningful, relevant, and inspiring for young people. The programme responds to the gap between young people’s expectations of the world of work and business expectations of new recruits. It combines the Department of Education’s traditional 5-day work experience placements with other inspirational business education links, including STEM teacher placements, Student insight days, Get Into…mornings, and any other inspirational, business-led idea.
From April 2016 to March 2017, we had 9,535 students attending work experience, work inspirations and participating in other careers and employability activities, and we worked with 182 schools/colleges.
