Date: Monday 22 January 2024

Times: 9.15 am – 1.00 pm (students can join from 9.05 am to enable this to start promptly at 9.15am). Please note it may finish earlier, however due to previous over-running and student feedback asking for a break the time of the event has been extended)

Platform: Microsoft Teams

Limitations: Year 13 & 14

The Belfast Trust are continuing to offer a virtual work experience programme to schools and students due to the limited spaces available on their in person programme. We encourage schools to avail of this opportunity so that students have some exposure to a medical work experience in absence of securing an in person place. This event is for students with the aspiration and ability to study medicine and will provide an insight into the career of medicine in a hospital environment.

The programme will involve Belfast Trust medical staff talking about their experiences of being a doctor. Students will also be encouraged to participate through their mobiles or school devices if permitted.

So in the first instance please register your interest as a school in participating and advise on your numbers – if you will be streaming to a group or if you need a number of individual spaces.

Register your interest: workinspiration@bitcni.org.uk  No requests will be taken by individual students or parents – the register of interest must come from the school.

 THIS IS NOT BEING RECORDED.

Please note, the in-person medical work experience has resumed, these are limited to one place per school, per programme. Reminder the Belfast Trust no longer permits sponsored medical work experience.
