Belfast Met spearheads further innovation by introducing the exciting new Northern Ireland FinTECH and Professional Services Programme in partnership with a range of key development and delivery partners including Citi, Allstate, CME, PwC and Catalyst.
This innovative programme aims to give young people not in education, training or employment the pathway to a growth industry career in a range of areas including: business, digital, fintech and professional services. Participants will be able to pursue further studies and training in FE, HE or apprenticeships covering modules which include: Problem Solving Skills in Business Administration, Customer Service and Communication and Introduction to Cyber Security.

This is a one-year programme where students will complete ‘OCN NI Level 2 Extended Certificate in Business Administration Skills’ qualification which mixes business and technology skills. This programme will be delivered in college 15hrs per week over 30 weeks (Sept to May) studying modules to include:
- Problem Solving Skills in Business Administration
- Decision Making in a Business Environment
- Customer Service and Communication
- Written Business Communications
- Introduction to Cyber Security
- IT Communication Fundamentals
- Effective Communication and Presentation in the Workplace
The programme will include up to 6 weeks of unpaid project based learning placement in our partner organisations which will involve mentorship to build confidence and soft skills which are key to employment and progression.
Students will also study Microsoft – MOS 365 to become proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
This programme of study is likely to include enrichment units, which are an additional component to enhance your employability.

Entry Requirements:
3 GCSEs at Grade A-D which include English & Maths (preferably Grade C achieved in both English & Maths).
Essential Skills Numeracy or Literacy at Level 2 will also be accepted as equivalent to GSCEs.
All courses within Belfast Met are delivered and assessed in English, apart from language-specific courses. Your competence in English must be verified prior to enrolling on your chosen course.
