Date: 30 September 2021

Time: 1.30pm – 4.30pm (exact timings TBC)

Due to ongoing mitigations required by COVID-19, the South Eastern Trust want to continue to inspire and enthuse students about a career in medicine.   They are not in a position to return to their normal ‘in person’ programme and have put together an afternoon session which they hope students will find beneficial in making key decisions in relation to medicine as a career option.

This event will be delivered on Zoom and is likely to be oversubscribed (there will be a cap set on number of participants per school).  To register an interest for your school, teachers must contact: workinspiration@bitcni.org.uk

Sample Virtual Work Experience Content:

  • Welcome
  • A day in the life of a Hospital Consultant
  • Volunteering in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust
  • Simulation Session
  • Human Factors Session
  • Applying for medicine with QUB
