Following the successful Midwifery Careers Days, the South Eastern Trust have created an e-Magazine. This is their first ‘pilot’ magazine which they hope teachers and students find useful and beneficial. As you read through the magazine, each page has a like/dislike icon which will assist with their monitoring and evaluation – they encourage you to provide this feedback as they will know if the sections are useful. There are a number of videos and external links etc. for you to engage in. Do interact on the pages (like/dislike) this is the only way the Trust can gauge if this type of resource is of use to the schools.
Please download the poster here for your Careers Noticeboard which has a QR code on it to enable students to download it to read in their own time.

The South Eastern Trust launched their Midwifery Careers Day on Thursday 1 June 2017. This event was to raise awareness about the new one day Midwifery Work Experience Programme which commenced in the 2017/18 academic year. On the day, the teachers and tutors attending had the chance to hear from SE Trust and QUB staff and also to get a tour of the department and visit some skills stations. This one day programme may include: a day in the life of the midwife through the mother’s journey, who’s who, the student experience, the service user’s experience, a tour of midwifery unit and sample some skills stations. They hope to have input from QUB on the days.
